Water requirement
Water is a major component of the body. It regulates the body temperature and its needed to keep the body functional. A kitten body contains approximately 79% water and an adult cats body contains about 62% water. Generally a kitten needs 150-225ml/kg/day but an adult cat requies water about 60ml/kg/day. As cats evolved from desert dewelling amcestor, they have a low thirst drive, which makes it essemtially important for owners to monitor amd encourage water intake.
